Opportunity: Sole Source Award to Municipal Owned Utility

Description 

Special Notice The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to award a purchase order on a sole source basis to the City of Philadelphia Water Revenue Bureau located in Philadelphia PA at 1101 Market Street. The City of Philadelphia Water Revenue Bureau is a city-owned municipal service. It is the only source that can provide water and sewage service to the Social Security Administration Building located at 300 Spring Garden Street, Philadelphia PA. Under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b) (1), as the Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The City of Philadelphia owns and controls the Philadelphia Water Bureau. A firm fixed purchase order with a performance period of August 1, 2015 through July 31, 2016 shall be issued to the City of Philadelphia Water Revenue Bureau. SSA shall issue a sole source award under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Responses to this notice should be submitted by June 11, 2015. Requests for copies of a solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged.
