Opportunity: Intent to Sole Source Vertere Software Maintenance

Description 

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Environmental Information (OEI), intends to purchase annual maintenance for Vertere inventory management software. This purchase is on a sole source basis with the vendor Vertere under the authority of 41.U.S.C. 253 (c)(1), FAR 603-1. Vertere is the sole and exclusive provider and distributor of the software maintenance. The base period of performance for the base period is from date of award through September 30, 2016. In addition, there are two (2) 1-year option periods. Any firm that believes it is also capable of providing the software maintenance may respond to this notice and shall provide a capability statement and indicate that the firm is challenging the statement that the vendor Vertere is the sole provider of the software maintenance. All questions and/or responses shall be directed to Donna Dews via email at dews.donna@epa.gov by December 2, 2015. Responses shall include ¿Vertere sole source¿ in the subject line of the email. The contracting officer will not respond to telephone inquiries. The estimated value of the acquisition is $132,075.00.
