Opportunity: 3-D CT Scanning X-ray core imaging system

Description 

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has a requirement for a 3-D CT Scanning X-ray core imaging system. The proposed action will be awarded in accordance with FAR 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items. This combined synopsis/solicitation for a firm fixed price commercial supply contract is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will be issued. The solicitation number is G17PS00603 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in affect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-95, effective 19 January 2017. Please see solicitation with CLINS, technical specifications, provisions, and clauses. All questions pertaining to this solicitation must be submitted to the Contracting Officer by 03:00pm ET on June 13, 2017. Quotations are due no later than 03:00pm ET on June 15, 2017. The Government anticipates award of a commercial, Firm-Fixed Price type contract on or about June 16, 2017. NOTE: All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary - the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. Materials submitted to the Government for review will not be returned. It is the responsibility of all interested parties to check back periodically for any amendments to the synopsis or solicitation. In order to comply with the debt collection improvement act of 1966, all contractors must be registered and have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be considered for an award of a federal contract. This system combines data that was formerly contained in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) and Online Representation and Certifications (ORCA).
