Opportunity: BGNDRF HVAC Building Automation BCU Replacement

Please note, this notice serves solely as a pre-solicitation synopsis. Quotations and questions are NOT being accepted at this time. The Bureau of Reclamation, Upper Colorado Region, Albuquerque Area Office, Brackish Groundwater National Desalination Research Facility (BGNDRF) has an upcoming requirement for the replacement of a HVAC Building Automated System (BAS) Building Control Unit (BCU). The applicable NAICS code is 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning Contractors. The purpose of the procurement is to replace the current BAS BCU which is at serviceable life and not functioning properly with a new BAS BCU and associated bridge connections. All components and supplies must be for commercial office and laboratory service. The procurement will ensure the newly installed BAS BCU, including bridge connections, are adjusted for proper operation and functionality and that Government personnel are provide proper system orientation and training. The obsolete BAS BCU will be disposed of according to local, state, and federal environmental requirements. The procurement is intended to use a brand name justification for Trane, Inc. brand products and services in accordance with FAR 13.106-1. Description of Products and Services: Item No. Supplies or Services 1. Equipment: BAS BCU with COMM 3 & 4, 5-port hub, sensors, enclosure, and support 2. Labor: Removal and Installation, Debugging, and Testing the BAS BCU Equipment. 3. Labor and Documentation: BAS BCU Employee Orientation and Training All offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) Database, https://www.sam.gov, prior to contract award pursuant to FAR provision 52.204-7. All offerors must also be registered to perform services under the specified NAICS code, and it must reflect accordingly on their SAM profile prior to contract award. Prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of quotations. The requirement is not expected to exceed the Simplified Acquisition Threshold. Once issued, the solicitation will be available on the Federal Business Opportunities (www.fbo.gov) and FedConnect (www.fedconnect.net) websites.
