Opportunity: Roza Fish Screen Modification RFI (Brush-style)

Description 

The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation (BOR), Columbia-Pacific Northwest Regional Office, in Boise, ID is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to acquire information from industry regarding the proposed replacement of existing fish screens, for the Roza Diversion Dam, Fish Screen Modification, Roza Project, Yakima, Washington. Previously an RFI issued under 140R1020R0006 on December 11, 2019 to seek out industry response to draft specification section 35 21 42, Fish Screen Assembly, Roza Fish Screen Drawings, BOR questions, and discover contractor capability. Following this RFI, two additional RFIs in regard to a related future requirement were posted as amendments to the RFI issued December 11, 2019, note that those RFIs issued on 3/24/2020 and 4/2/2020 were incorrectly posted under 140R1020R0006 and were intended for the solicitation 140R1020B0006. The purpose of this RFI, is to learn if there are other contractors capable of providing fish screens with a brush-type cleaning system. Please review the attached 90% Roza Fish Screen Modification draft specification and provide your capability. Please ensure in response to the contractor capability statement you include an explanation/description of an anticipated fish screen with a brush-type cleaning system to meet this future requirement. The Government may contact RFI respondents to get clarification on the information submitted. This RFI is issued for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. Responses to the RFI will not be returned. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), a response to this notice is not an offer and cannot be accepted by the government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Beta System for Award Management (beta.SAM.gov) https://beta.sam.gov/ website. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this requirement. 1.0 Instructions 1.1 Review attachments, 1. 90% Draft Roza Fish Screen Modification specification and 2. Contractor Capability Statement. 1.2 Provide contractor capability statement, attachment 2. 1.3 If, after reviewing the 90% Draft Roza Fish Screen Modification specification, you desire to provide feedback and/or recommendations, you should provide these in written documentation electronically along with the completed attachment 2, to Eric G. Gonzalez at egonzalez@usbr.gov. 2.0 Description of Work 2.1 Performance shall be onsite at the Bureau of Reclamation, Roza Diversion Dam located on the Yakima River near the city of Yakima, Washington in Kittitas County. 2.2 Work includes structural concrete modification, handrail installation, fish screen/gate valve assembly installation and electrical and communications support installation. 2.3 The order of magnitude for this project is expected to be between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. 3.0 Summary 3.1 THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY, this is NOT a Request for Proposal or Invitation for Bids, and does not constitute any commitment by the Government. The Government will not pay for information received in response to this RFI. All interested sources must respond to future solicitation announcements separately from responses to this RFI. 3.3 Please submit responses to this notice electronically (via email) to Eric G.
