Opportunity: Replace Roof on William Howard Taft House

PRESOLICITATION NOTICE The National Park Service, Midwest Region, Ohio Major Acquisition Buying Office, intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a construction requirement at William Howard Taft House NHP in Cincinnati, OH. Work will consist of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, supplies, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to include: The removal and replacement of approximately 1500 square feet of shingle roof and the shingle mansard on the William Howard Taft House to include: replacing the existing roof vent with a ridge line vent system and the sealing of an approximate three foot wide flat copper portion of the roof consisting of approximately 1800 square feet. Some rework of the rain drainage trough maybe required during the installation of the roof on the West and Northern exposure. SOLICITATION NUMBER: 140P6418R0027 PUBLICIZING: The official solicitation (RFP) and its attachments will be issued and available late-June to mid-July and will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at https://www.fbo.gov and the FedConnect website https://www.fedconnect.net/. The contracting office will not provide hardcopies or email copies of the solicitation. PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $250,000 and $500,000. TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price contract expected to be awarded to a prime contractor by late-June. Federal Construction Wage Rates for Montgomery County, Ohio will apply. EVALUATION FACTORS: Technical, Past Performance and Price. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) CODE CLASSIFICATION and SET ASIDE: The NAICS Code is 238160, and the size standard is $15 million. This project is set aside 100% for Total Small Businesses. SITE VISIT: A site visit date, time, and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to inspect the site and to ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions that may affect the cost of the project, specifications, and performance.
