Opportunity: FLFO-REPLACE HORNBEK WILDLIFE LOOP BRIDG

Description: The Work includes installation of a pedestrian bridge and foundations on the Hornbek Trail Loop. The bridge will have steel beams with wood deck and wood railing. Wood from the recently demolished bridge will be stored at the parking lot and requires disposal. Project Location: Hornbek Homestead located in Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, on (Teller) County Road #1, approximately 1.5 miles south of Florissant Colorado. Hornbek Trail Loop Bridge is west of the homestead site approximately 1 / 4 mile and is accessed by foot trail. B. Work of this project may begin as approved by the Contracting Officer beginning any date on or after August 15, 2018. C. Definition of Contract Line Items: Contractor proposal shall list each line item. 1. Item No. 1 Disposal of Wood Bridge: Work includes loading and disposal of the demolished materials from the wood bridge that has been disassembled and stockpiled in the homestead parking lot. a. Measurement for payment will be on a lump sum basis as a single item of work. b. Payment will be made at the contract price per lump sum price. 2. Item No. 2 Bridge Construction: This item consists of work to construction cast in place concrete foundations, embedded accessories, bridge beams, wood railings, wood decking, applied wood protection, accessories, foundation stone veneer, compacted backfill, trail surfacing of granular fines and stone steps on the trail. a. Measurement for payment will be on a lump sum basis as a single item of work. b. Payment will be made at the contract price per lump sum price. 3. Item No. 3 Revegetation : This item consists of work to grade, rake and seed adjacent to the trail and disturbed areas using native grass seed. a. Measurement for payment will be on a lump sum basis as a single item of work. b. Payment will be made at the contract price per lump sum price.
