Under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), BLM-AK/Alaska Fire Service intends to issue a sole source, firm-fixed price order to: COMPANY: ACG System Incorporated FOR : $379,536.00 ON: 08/11/2020 NAICS: 334220 Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications AUTHORITY: 8.405-6(a)(2) Limited Sources Justification and Approval 13.106(b) Soliciting from a single source FAR 6.302-2 Unusual and compelling urgency. Determinations not to compete this proposed procurement were made because: We will use the current configuration and upgrade the software to a newer version. These radio consoles are used every day to track and communicate with air and ground resources. The research for several other companies that offer similar radio consoles would not work with the current system and would require a re-designed to accommodate different connectivity between each radio console and the network. It is more cost effective to upgrade verses redesign and install new systems. For Compatibility and configuration of the Telex Radio dispatch center consoles, it is preferred to update the current system and eliminate the need to reconfigure the topology of our radio dispatch system. Other radio consoles would require a system re-design and additional equipment purchase and more extensive training. The goal is to upgrade the current system to provide reliability. AFS will keep the current network in place and upgrade the Telex radio dispatch consoles to provide a more reliable system.
