Opportunity: GEOTEK EQUIPMENT

Description 

The United States The United States Geological Survey intends to award a non-competitive purchase order in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items, to Geotek LTD, Grand Island, NY for XRF Sensor, NIR Spectrometer, installation and training to be delivered to USGS EGPSC. The delivery date for Items 1 and 2 is 4/1/19 and period of performance for items 3 and 4 is 2/28/19 to 4/1/20. There are no option periods. GEOTEK LTD is the only known source for reagents and expendable supplies for the owned equipment. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation no later than 2/28/2019 which shall be considered by the agency. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A firm-fixed price award will be made on or about 2/28/2019. The NAICS code is 334516. The size standard is 1,000 employees.
