The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in White Sulphur Springs, WV hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract to TRC Hydraulics Inc., Duns# 246695464. White Sulphur Springs Hatchery requires an Aquaculture Pressure Chamber (TRC-APV-M-2.7litre) to be used in the production of triploid Rainbow trout eggs. It has been determined that TRC Hydraulics Inc., is the sole manufacturer and distributor of this chamber. This contract action is for commercial goods/services under NAICS code 334516, Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing for which the agency intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), Simplified Acquisition procedures. The expected delivery is approximately 3 months with a total estimated value of $28,000. This announcement constitutes the only notice. This is not a request for competitive quotes. Responses received from this solicitation will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the agency not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the agency. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government and would not be cost or time prohibitive.
