Opportunity: OFFSITE MISSION TAPE STORAGE

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This acquisition is being conducted under the authority of FAR Part 13.5, ¿Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items¿ and therefore the Government will utilize simplified procedures for soliciting competition, evaluation, an award documentation and notifications that comply with FAR Parts 12 and 13.This is not a small business set-aside. The solicitation number is 140E0118Q0080 and the solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The United States Department of the Interior, Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE), and Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM), Technical Services Division (TSD), Business Systems Branch, TIMS Support Section, has a requirement to support the Contingency of Operation Plan (COOP), IT Contingency Plan (ITCP), and Disaster Recovery (DR) operations of both BSEE and BOEM, by providing backup IT media storage of critical system backups and stored geophysical data, pickup and delivery services, secure media shredding, destruction services, analysis and recommendation reports, and implementation of recommendation plans. The Government anticipates awarding a single award time-and-materials (T&M) type contract as a result of this solicitation. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-72. It is the Offeror¿s responsibility to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The North American industrial Classification Systems (NAICS) code is 493110 entitled, General Warehousing and Storage, with small business size representation of $27.5 Million.
