Opportunity: Medical Consultant Services - On Site

Description 

The Social Security Administration (SSA), Dallas Texas Regional Office, seeks licensed physicians in the specialties of Pediatrics, Ophthalmology,Internal Medicine/General Practice and other Physical Medicine Specialties to provide medical consultant services as a contractor. Services, as needed, are performed on site at the Social Security Administration, Dallas Regional Office, 1301 Young Street. Under a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA), contractors review claims/cases of disability determinations for SSA's disability program. The contractors perform most case processing at a computer terminal at an SSA facility. Medical records and case folder documentation is viewed, processed, and stored electronically. Interaction with disability reviewers, adjudicators, medical providers, and other staff is required; however, there is no contact with the claimant nor is there clinical responsibility. The BPA's ordering periods are as follows: Ordering Period 1: August 1, 2014 or date of award through December 31, 2014 Ordering Period 2: January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2015

Details:

The purpose of the pre-quote conference is to discuss: the history and overview of the requirement along with its purpose as it relates to SSA’s mission; SSA’s desire to partner with industry; the procurement process and the schedule; evaluation criteria; the performance schedule. It is requested that a list of attendees to the pre-quote conference be provided, via email, to Linda.Washeck@ssa.gov no later than close of business on June 17, 2014. For security reasons, individuals not on this list may not be granted access to the facility. THIS WILL BE THE ONLY PRE-QUOTE CONFERENCE SCHEDULED. The conference is not mandatory, but potential contractors are encouraged to attend. Note: Offerors attending the pre-quote conference will need to bring Government-issued identification. All visitors to 1301 Young Street, Dallas, TX will be subject to a security screening. Attendees should arrive a few minutes early.
