Opportunity: Modification to current PO SS00-09-50219

Description 

The Social Security Administration plans to modify purchase order SS00-09-50219 with OpenTech. This modification will increase the following software licensing for Tape/Copy mainframe software located at the National Computer Center, Woodlawn, MD and Second Support Center, Durham NC. SSA needs to increase software licensing and associated maintenance in support of hardware upgrades to the following systems: System 81 from an IBM 2097-710 to an IBM 711 (+567 Cheryl-Watson MIPS) System 82 from an IBM z196 2817-721 to an IBM 725 (+2730 Cheryl-Watson MIPS) System 83 from an IBM z196 2817-722 to an IBM 726 (+2716 Cheryl-Watson MIPS) System 84 from an IBM z196 2817-721 to an IBM 726 (+3403 Cheryl-Watson MIPS) System 93 from an IBM 2097-709 to an IBM 712 (+1722 Cheryl-Watson MIPS) Upgrade Capacity Ceiling of 85737 Cheryl-Watson (CW) MIPS to 96876, increase of 11139 CW MIPS SSA is not issuing this solicitation as a competitive acquisition. To be best of the Government¿s knowledge, only Open Tech can fulfill this need. Written responses to this solicitation shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability to fulfill this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed modification based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
