The National Park Service, Southeast Region intends to award a Firm Fixed price contract for a SUMMIT Evolution ¿Professional¿ with DATEM Capture for ARCGIS for Everglades National Park, Homestead, FL 33034. This requirement is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source. The determination to select Quantum Spatial, Inc for this software product is that they are the only authorized distributor of DAT/EM System International software and sole owner of the Summit Evolution software in the Southeast region. Additionally, there is no other software that is compatible to existing equipment that has already been purchased for the South Florida Caribbean Network. It is cost prohibitive to change existing equipment to utilize alternate software. DAT/EM Systems International is a leader in the development of software for digital mapping and photogrammetric applications. NAICS Code: 511210, Software Publishers, Standard business size is $38.5M. The National Park Service is presently using FEDBIZOPPS to issue synopsis for Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source Justifications and Sources Sought. The synopsis may be viewed online at: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Fedbizopps will be the only means of obtaining the amendments and will be able to receive electronic notification of solicitations and awards. CAUTION: This synposis will be issued electronically as will any amendments. The Government is under no obligation to maintain a bidder's list.
