Description 

This is a notice of intent to award a noncompetitive purchase order to Geometrics, Inc., San Jose, CA, for Marine Geophysical Survey Equipment. The U.S. Geological Survey, Pacific Coastal and Marine Science Center, requires: ¿ Repeater Module Part Number: 57558-01P 1 each ¿ GeoEel 2D A/D Module Part Number: 57550-20SP 2 each ¿ 12.5m GeoEel Active Section Part Number: 61234-12SP 2 each The government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) and the procedures at FAR Part 12 entitled, Acquisition of Commercial Items, to Geometrics, Inc. No other manufacturer, other than Geometrics, makes equipment compatible with the Government¿s existing Geometrics GeoEel systems inventory. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. All quotations or inquiries must be submitted to the Contract Specialist via email at dallan-loucks@usgs.gov no later than the closing date of this announcement at 17:00 EST. As required by FAR 5.101(a)(1), Request for Quote G17PS00806 is available by contacting the Contract Specialist at dallan-loucks@usgs.gov. The NAICS code for this action is 334519, Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing, for which the associated size standard is 500 employees. This notice and any resulting solicitation and/or award conforms to the requirements in place through FAC 2005-95, effective 19 Jan 2017.
