This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis and is for information purposes only. This is not a request for quote (RFQ) nor a request for proposal (RFP). This announcement is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. The Government will not pay for any cost incurred in responding to this announcement. Any information submitted by respondents to this Sources Sought synopsis shall be voluntary. This announcement is for acquisition planning purposes. No formal solicitation exists at this time. All eligible and qualified contractors may submit capability statements for consideration. Capability statements received will be reviewed to determine the quantity and availability of contractors who have the facility, experience, technical level of expertise, administration, and management capability to provide the items described below. The capability statements received will be used to determine the Bureau of Reclamation¿s overall procurement strategy. This requirement is a ¿Brand Name or Equal¿ action to procure the following items: Aviat IRU600 Non-Protected Radio Quantity: 4 Aviat IRU600 Protected Radio Quantity: 2 Aviat IRU600 Repeater Radio Quantity: 1 Aviat IRU600 Spares Kit Quantity: 1 Aviat IRU600 Factory and Field Services Quantity: 1 The items will be shipped to the Bureau of Reclamation¿s Central Valley Operations Office located in Sacramento, CA. FOB will be at destination. Offerors proposing any different equipment than specified above must show how it meets or exceeds the salient characteristics below: 1. The radio shall be licensed in the NTIA 7 GHz frequencies. 2. The radios must be compatible with the existing wave guide, antennas, and antenna coupling flanges: The waveguides are Andrew Elliptical Waveguide EW64 and EW77. The antennas are Andrew PL8-71, PL10-71, and Pl10-71W. The antenna coupling flanges are Andrew WR112G. 3. The radios shall provide at least 8 - 16 DS1 circuits and a 200 Mbits Ethernet Interfaces. 4. The radios shall have FIPS 140-2 level 2 NIST validation. 5. The radios shall have FIPS 197 validation to 256-bit AES encryption. 6. The radios shall have SSH. 7. The radio configuration shall provide both non-protected and hot-standby configurations. 8. The radio shall be of type all indoor construction. The resultant contract from this effort will be firm fixed price. Responses shall be emailed within 5 days from the date of the publication of this notice. Responses shall include the firm¿s Dun and Bradstreet number and Tax Identification Number. Firms shall identify their business size (small, other than small, etc.) in accordance with the size standard for NAICS code 334220 with a size standard of 1,250 employees.
