Opportunity: LAKE PUSHMATAHA DAM BERM MODIFICATION PROJECT

PROJECT TITLE: LAKE PUSHMATAHA DAM BERM MODIFICATION PROJECT BACKGROUND: The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians has made the determination that repair work is needed on the dam at Lake Pushmataha in the Pearl River Community in Choctaw, MS. The Tribe has declined to contract this project under P.L. 93-638, Subpart J, therefore the Bureau of Indian Affairs is soliciting this work to be done on behalf of the Tribe. The Tribes does not currently have a TERO Ordinance. DESCRIPTION: Contractor shall furnish the necessary personnel, materials, equipment and services as necessary to successfully complete the work as required by the contract documents and attachments. PROJECT LOCATION: The project is located at Lake Pushmataha Dam in the Pearl River Community, Neshoba County, Choctaw, MS 39350. ATTACHMENTS: 1. Pay Items/Quantity Bid Sheet 2. Lake Pushmataha Consolidated Questions and Answers 8/13/18 MAGNITUDE OF PROJECT: In accordance with FAR Part 36.204, the Project Magnitude is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. SOCIOECONOMIC PROGRAMS: This procurement is being set-aside as a Total Small Business Procurement. Only those vendors that are registered in SAM as a small business under the stated NAICS Code can submit a bid. Due to issues with SAM, all bidders will need to be registered and active at the time bids are due. Those not registered will be eliminated and determined as non-responsive. NAICS CODE: This procurement is being issued under NAICS Code 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, with a small business size standard of #36.5mi. PERMITS: Applicable Permits, archeological and environmental clearances are in the process of being acquired. It is anticipated that all documents will be in place prior to award. Notice to Proceed cannot be issued until all documents are acquired. DATES: Solicitation will be posted July 27, 2018. Bid Opening is set for August 27, 2018 at 3:00pm. The Government anticipates the award to be made by September 20, 2018. Notice to Proceed will be issued once bonding and insurance is provided, with 120 days to complete all work after Notice to Proceed (NTP) is issued. SITE VISIT: A site visit has been scheduled for August 7, 2018. Additional information will be available in the actual Solicitation document under Section L.
