Opportunity: DE-SOL-0010228 - TC 82 Secretary

This synopsis has been prepared in accordance with FAR 5.207. This effort will be solicited using simplified acquisition procedures from a single source in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b). This effort is for the Secretary of Technical Committee 82 (TC 82) of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), to support the U.S Department of Energy, Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, Solar Energy Technologies Office. The Secretary shall draft and edit codes and standards documentation and lead all TC 82 conferences in accordance with the Performance Work Statement. A copy of the final solicitation will be sent directly to the single source, George Kelly, Sunset Technology for quote. George Kelly of Sunset Technology was previously appointed by ANSI to TC 82 based upon his specialized technical qualifications and experience which continue to be required in this position. The estimate of work under this contract is for twelve months, with a program magnitude of between approximately $90,000 and $100,000 on a Time and Material (T&M) basis in accordance with FAR 16.601. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement, no later than 3:00 p.m. MDT 15 days after the original published date this notice. However, a determination by the government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
