Opportunity: NOTICE OF INTENT

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Bureau of Indian Affairs, Indian Education Acquisition Office, Albuquerque, NM intends to award a sole source Firm Fixed Price contracts with Apple, Inc. 1 Apple Parkway, Cupertino, CA 95014 to 10 each of 10.2 iPad Wi-fi + 2 yr + otterbox; 5 each 11¿ iPad Wi-Fi + 2 yr + keyboard folio and 5 each iPad Mini + 2 yr + otterbox for the BIE-Bread Springs Day School, Gallup, New Mexico in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 "Only One Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements". The anticipated delivery date will be September 30, 2020. The BIE K-12 schools, Apple, Inc., is the only source of Apple Products for private or public K-12 education institutions is Apple with a few limited exceptions. Only a handful of strategic resellers, such as A T & T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon, are authorized to sell Apple Products to private and public K-12 education institutions in the United States. This is a notice of intent and not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation is available for this requirement. If a firm believes that BIA should not pursue this procurement, it should submit a capability statement and pricing information for the requirement by 5:00 P.M. (MST) on August 12, 2020 via email at Charmaine.williams-james@bia.gov. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
