Description 

This Request for Quote (RFQ) is made using the procedures of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Basis of Award: The National Park Service, Northeast Region (NER), New England Major Acquisition Buying Office (NE-MABO) intends to award a contract to the responsible quoter whose quote, conforming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the Government, considering only price and the price-related factors specified elsewhere in the solicitation. Prospective contractors shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract. Initiate/Update SAM registrations at https://www.sam.gov. Requests for the RFQ are directed to view the entire RFQ on the Governmentwide point of entry available via the Internet at https://www.fbo.gov/ using Keyword / Solicitation Number: 140P4318Q0054. This RFQ is restricted to small businesses in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, FAR 6.203, Full and Open Competition After Exclusion of Sources, Set-Asides for Small Business Concerns. The RFQ will be set-aside for 100% for Small Businesses under NAICS Code 238220 Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors with a Small Business Administration size standard of $15 million. The scope of the work consists of construction services to be performed at the Boot Cotton Mills Museum located in Lowell National Historical Park, Lowell, Massachusetts. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation services and supplies required to complete the work in accordance with the contract documents. The work includes, but is not limited to: remove and replace existing gas generator exhaust system (interior chimney), including all supporting components and accessories, and reconnect to existing back-up generator and test back-up generator system. The Contractor shall be required to (a) commence work under this contract within 10 calendar days after the date the Contractor receives the notice to proceed, (b) prosecute the work diligently, and (c) complete the entire work ready for use not later than 45 days after Notice of Award is issued by the Government. The time stated for completion shall include final cleanup of the premises. U.S. Department of Labor, Construction Wage Rate General Decision Number: MA180001 shall apply. The order of magnitude for this project is estimated to be, including options, between $25,000 and $100,000. Interested parties are strongly encouraged to inspect site prior to quoting. An organized site visit is scheduled and details can be found in FAR 52.236-27, SITE VISIT. A Pre-proposal conference is not planned.
