Opportunity: Roof Replacement: Maggie Walker National Historica

The Department of the Interior, National Park Service (NPS), Richmond National Historical Park, VA is issuing Request for Quote (RFQ) 140P4218Q010, for the replacement of a porch roofs at Maggie Walker National Historical Site with a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Contract. The work includes providing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supplies, transportation and supervision for the following but not limited to: 1. Selective demolition of four (4) existing flat/standing seam metal porch roofs system(s) including; metal roofing, roofing clips, flashing, underlayment, sealants, damaged lumber/trim and related appurtenances. Dispose of removed materials to an approved site. 2. Install new metal pan standing seam and flat seam roofing system to match existing porch dimensions. New roofing includes blocking, flashing and related components to match existing. Provide complete new water tight metal roof. Factory prime coating and finished metal roofing. Includes built-in gutter system, associated trim, downspouts and hangars (MAWA 112, 114, 116, 118). 3. Include new fascia and 5 half rounds gutters, hangars and downspouts to provide a complete and useable gutter system. (MAWA 118 East Leigh Street (rear porch)) 5. Prepare, prime and paint all new wood and finish paint all previously painted surfaces that are disturbed. per the specifications of this solicitation. This project is being solicited as 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The solicitation, including all documents, will be posted to the websites, http://www.fedbizopps.gov and https://www.fedconnect.net/FedConnect. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed or issued. To receive the solicitation package you must download it from one of the above sites. It is therefore the contractor's responsibility to check the internet site daily for any posted changes to the solicitation. Contractors must be registered in SAM-System for Award Management-in order to receive contract awards. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 238160 Roofing Contractors. The magnitude for this project is between $3,000.00 and $25,000.00 and is subject to the Davis-Bacon Act. There will be a site visit scheduled and perspective bidders are encouraged to visit the site to satisfy themselves as to conditions before providing a proposal.
