Opportunity: Arizona Wild Horse & Burro Project Facilities

Description 

Arizona Wild Horse and Burro Program Facility: The Bureau of Land Management, Washington DC, intends to award on a sole source basis with the Arizona Department of Corrections (Florence Correctional Center, Florence, Arizona). The contractor is uniquely qualified to provide a facility for the holding, sorting, preparation, training and adoption of wild horses removed from Arizona public lands. The Florence Correctional facility has extensive and proven experience providing these services for the State of Arizona-BLM. A solicitation was issued for this requirement in calendar year 2012. Only one entity possessed compliant facilities in proximity to the rangelands of Arizona to Support the Department of Interior, Bureau of Land Management's WH&B program. No solicitation package will be available for this requirement. No telephone or fax requests will be accepted. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Detailed capabilities must be submitted no later than November 6, 2017. The North American Industry Classification for this procurement is 115210 with a size standard of $7.5 million.
