Opportunity: NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE I-SITE DRIVE KIT

Description 

VULCAN MAPTEK MAINTENANCE RENWAL: The Bureau of Land Management, Cheyenne, Wyoming, intends to award on a sole source basis with KRJA Systems Inc., Lakewood, Colorado. This action is purchasing an I-Site Drive Kit as an add-on component for the 8800 Series I-Site Surveying System, and the KRJA Vulcan Software used by the Solids Division. This system will collect 3-D survey data for use by this office for calculation of trespass fees, production verification and assurance that mining activities conform to approved regulations, existing laws and current lease terms, and is integral to the success of the Wyoming BLM coal leasing and production verification efforts. The I-Site Drive Kit will allow the BLM to provide a safe, efficient utilization of the I-Site System, and will provide maximum level of value and performance when conducting surveying of coal mines. KRJA has been the provider of the I-Site service package for the past several years and is integral to the success of the Wyoming BLM coal leasing and production verification efforts. No solicitation package will be available. No telephone or fax requests will be accepted. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Detailed capabilities must be submitted no later than December 6, 2017. The North American Industry Classification for this procurement is 511210 with a size standard of $38.5 Million.
