NEXT GENERATION SEQUENCING SERVICES. This is a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Order to University of Oregon (UO) Genomics and Cell Characterization Core Facility (GC3F). The requirement is for an ongoing analysis of paired-end sequence reads on a HiSeq4000 platform. To the knowledge of the USGS, UO GC3F is the only source capable of meeting all the described requirements below. The agreement shall include generating 18 samples of paired-end sequence reads (100 base pairs) from multiplexed and indexed DNA library preparations from animals using the Illumina Sequencing platform. This service provided by GC3F includes sample quantitation using qPCR and a high sensitivity Advanced Analytical Fragment Analyzer prior to sequencing and is included in the cost of the sequencing service. Current services needed are 100 paired-read runs on the Illumina HiSeq 4000 platform. The consistency of results is crucial as these results will supplement previous USGS acquired data. The award will be for one base year from date of award. The purpose of this notice is to satisfy the requirements of FAR Subpart 5.2. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all responsible parties may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. No solicitation will be issued. A determination not to compete this action based upon responses received is in the sole discretion of the Government. Responses are due no later than 06/20/2019 1300 EDT.
