Description 

This is an amendment to the PRE-SOLICITATION SYNOPSIS; it is not a solicitation announcement. Based upon market research, the requested system is not manufactured by small business. This synopsis neither solicits for proposals nor bids and no contract will be awarded based on this synopsis. The purpose of this synopsis is to alert the public that: The Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI) intends to release a solicitation for one Data Center HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) unit to be replaced in the next 90 days. The work to be conducted is located at the Office of Scientific and Technical Information, 1 Science.gov Way, Oak Ridge, TN. The procurement will be Full and Open competition. The Request for Proposal (RFP) and Statement of Work (SOW) will be issued on or around July 15, 2016. In addition, OSTI will utilize a Firm-Fixed-Price contract for this acquisition. The period of performance is TBD. The appropriate NAICS code for this requirement is 238220. Bidders must be registered with an "active" profile in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible to receive an award from any Government solicitation; the SAM website is www.SAM.gov. It is the bidder's responsibility to check www.fbo.gov as often as necessary to view posted changes to this synopsis and/or updates/amendments.
