Description 

The purpose of this Notice of Intent is to provide potential applicants advance notice that the Department of Energy, National Energy Technology Laboratory's Crosscutting Research Program, plans to release a Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA), number DE-FOA-0001854 entitled “Innovative Technology Development to Enhance Fossil Power System Operability, Reliability, and Economic Performance." The programmatic goal is to seek innovative research and development projects to improve the performance and cost of fossil energy technologies. The potential FOA will have two Areas of Interest (AOI): 1) Cybersecure Sensors and Controls Technology, and 2) Computational Materials Modeling pertinent to Advanced Manufacturing. PLEASE NOTE THAT NO APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED THROUGH THIS NOTICE. Please do not submit questions or respond to this Notice of Intent. It is anticipated that this FOA will be posted to the Grants.Gov website in the January 2018 timeframe.
