Opportunity: Madison County Mines Superfund OU5

Description 

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 7, Acquisition Management Branch (AMBR) is seeking the services of an experienced firm to provide remedial action services for OU5-Catherine Mines and Skaggs Tailings Subsites. Mine waste will be consolidated at each location which will include consolidation of transition zone and downstream waste. The two mine waste piles will be constructed according to the design and will be capped with clean soil. Downstream floodplain and sediment will be removed as defined in the design and sediment traps will be located downstream in locations where sediment removal is not practical. This will also include the mine waste resulting from transport of ore rock and processing associated with the former overhead tramway from the Catherine Mine along the Little St. Francis River.
