The Small Business and Technology Development Center along Congressman G.K Butterfield and Congressman David Price and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and U.S Department of Health and Human Services will host the Marketplace 2017, Procurement Opportunities for Small Business in Durham, NC on May 31, 2017 at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel and Convention Center. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. NO SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED. The Small Business Conference will be held to provide information on requirements in support of prime business subcontracting opportunities and federal, state and local contracting opportunities. In addition, representatives and panel consisting of Contracting Officers and representatives from Industry will present "training sessions" and exchange thoughts and answer questions on a variety of contracting topics. The Marketplace Event is a biennual regional ¿reverse¿ trade show that provides small business owners a broad-based business opportunity to meet contracting officers from over 50 large prime contractors and federal, state and local government agencies. Briefings and Workshops will be conducted to provide industry with an overview of projected requirements and corresponding contracting opportunities, extending from the current year through three to five years, with the addition of special topics of current interest. The event also provides a unique forum in which senior government and civilian leaders and key action officers within the requirements development community have an opportunity to present overviews and updates regarding their future acquisitions. 2015's Marketplace drew more than 500 attendees including both small and large businesses, elected officials and representatives from various Government agencies. The Small Business Symposium offers both large and small businesses the opportunity to interact with several Government and non-Government agencies including Business Resource Providers, federal, state and local government officials as well as prime contractors. Small Business Symposium participants will have the opportunity to network with and gain insight from various local businesses that will be hosting expo booths with opportunities and requirements for teaming partners. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in round-table discussions on a myriad of topics developed to educate and inform on several Government Contracting related topics across a diverse set of industries. Small Business Symposium participants will have the opportunity to network and engage in dialogue with Government agencies.
