Pre-solicitation Notice Solicitation Number: R17PS01446 ¿ Asbestos Abatement Columbia Basin Project, Washington Synopsis: The Department of Interior, Bureau of Reclamation, Pacific Northwest Region requires asbestos abatement for the Grand Coulee Dam pump units No. 5 and No. 6 which includes: removing two pump units, existing armature windings, stator cores and cleaning around the pump unit brake areas. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 562910 and the size standard is $20.5 million. The Davis-Bacon Act applies to this procurement. We anticipate issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) approximately 27 September 2017 on www.fbo.gov., but all dates in this notice are subject to change. Any amendments applicable to the solicitation will be posted at the same site. To take advantage of business opportunities with the Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) and the Department of the Interior (DOI) you must register your firm with the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov. Reclamation intends to award one firm fixed-price contract. The estimated price range of the work is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Any award will be based on the best value to the Government. This requirement will be solicited as a total small business set-aside procurement that will consider past performance and price in the award decision; these evaluation factors are subject to change. Final evaluation factors will be defined in the solicitation.
