AMENDMENT 0001 - This amendment is being issued to add the Presolicitation Notice attachment that did not post to FBO when transmitting the Presolicitation Announcement. It did however post to FedConnect PRESOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT - Asbestos Abatement at Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial, Lincoln City, Indiana. THIS announcement REPLACES the previous announcement P17PS01269 that was issued and posted to www.fbo.gov and www.fedconnect.net on May 16, 2017. P17PS01269 has been cancelled in its entirety. On or about July 24, 2017, the National Park Service (NPS), Midwest Region, Missouri Major Acquisition Buying Office, intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) P17PS01905 to solicit proposals for abatement of asbestos and project-associated reconstruct work at the Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial Visitor Center, located in Lincoln City, Indiana 47552. This Presolicitation Notice does not constitute a solicitation; it is only advance notification that a solicitation for offers will be forthcoming. The date and time for the scheduled Site Visit, all contract specification documents, along with the method in which proposals are to be submitted and the criteria used to evaluate offers shall be included in the forthcoming solicitation. See the Presolicitation Notice "LIBO VISITOR CENTER ASBESTOS ABATEMENT PROJECT" which is attached to this Announcement for additional information and details. MAGNITUDE OF PROJECT: Between $250,000 and $500,000. NAICS CODE: The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code assigned to this solicitation / procurement is 562910. SMALL BUSINESS SIZE STANDARD: 750 employees. SET ASIDE: This opportunity is set aside for Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns. TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a single firm-fixed price construction contract and expected to be awarded early- to mid-September 2017 timeframe. Award will be made to only one successful offeror. Davis Bacon Prevailing Wages will apply. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The period of performance will be sixty (60) calendar days from the date the Notice to Proceed is issued by the Contracting Officer and received by the Contractor. On-site work is to start no earlier than November 15, 2017, and be completed no later than January 19, 2018. The work will consist of the Contractor, in accordance with the Indiana Administrative Code, EPA and OSHA regulations, and the terms and conditions of the solicitation/contract, providing all labor, supervision, certifications, licenses, materials, tools, equipment, supplies, transportation, vehicles and other items, services and incidentals necessary to complete asbestos abatement and project-associated reconstruct work.
