Opportunity: Sole Source RAWS Weather Station Parts

Description 

THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT TO SOLICIT QUOTES OR OFFERS BUT TO INFORM. The proposed action is for supplies/services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302(a)(C)(ii) specialized equipment. The Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), South Texas Refuges Complex, intends to procure equipment to upgrade existing FTS equipment which has been deployed and operational for many years located at four sites; Santa Anna G5 serial#33495, Laguna Atascosa G5 serial# 33479, La Puerta(flacon lake) G5 serial# 33470 and Linn-San Manuel G5 serial#33473. This upgrade will extend the useful life of the equipment and is a significant cost savings compared to replacing the whole network. A justification for Other than Full and Open Competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. This serves as a procurement notice to fulfill public posting requirements in accordance with FAR 5.101(1a)(2). The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334519 Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing; Size Standard is 500 Employees.
