Opportunity: Institute of Nuclear Power Operations

Description 

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Office of the Associate Under Secretary for Environmental, Health, Safety and Security is seeking to award a one year contract to the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO). The purpose of this contract is to enable DOE to obtain assistance from INPO to provide up to four Special Assistance Visits to DOE in support of the Department’s efforts to improve the performance of the Department’s facilities. The special assistance visits provided by INPO will provide DOE with operational experiences, methods, information and data developed for the commercial nuclear industry through the programs and activities undertaken by INPO. The DOE is using exemption to competition 6.302-1(a)(2), One Responsible Source. This is a notice of intent and not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation is available for this requirement. If a firm believes the DOE should not pursue a contract with INPO, then they should submit a capability statement by 4 pm. EST September 25, 2017 to Michael.Thomey@hq.doe.gov. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
