Description 

The U.S. EPA's Environmental Response Team (ERT) provides scientific and engineering services in support of the Superfund program under the Office of Land and Emergency Management (OLEM), including support for regional On-Scene Coordinators (OSCs) and Remedial Project Managers (RPMs) in the Removal and Remedial programs, respectively. The ERT was established 1978 as a Special Force under Sec. 311 of the Clean Water Act. In 1980 CERCLA (Superfund) was enacted for response and cleanups and ERT was identified as a Special Team in the National Oil and Hazardous Substances Pollution Contingency Plan (NCP) cited in 40 CFR300.145 to support OSC/RPMs. In addition, the ERT provides support in cases of national emergencies or incidents of national significance (INS), e.g. oils spills, wildfires, hurricanes and floods, which may include support to other Agency groups and State, Tribe and local entities. This contract will provide support services to the Environmental Response Team in technical areas as detailed in the Statement of Work.
