Description 

Notice of Intent to Award The National Park Service, GOGA MABO Contracting Office in San Francisco, CA intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order on a sole source basis to Mid-Valley Disposal, 15300 W Jensen Ave, Kerman, CA 93630 for one year of Solid Waste Removal and Disposal in the Grant Grove area of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks located in Fresno County, CA. This services procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) soliciting from a single source authorized by FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(1). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 562111, Solid Waste Collection. Mid-Valley Disposal, is the sole company approved for solid waste (trash and rubbish removal) in the Tulare County area. This service requires removal and transportation of solid waste and rubbish to be removed to an approved landfill following all state and federal regulations. National Park Service requires the use of approved landfills meeting EPA requirements. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively in accordance with FAR 6.302.1 - Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for quote/proposal. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
