Synopsis: This sources sought, in accordance with FAR Part 10, is to conduct Market Research on Industry's Capabilities in providing Road Striping for the Department of Interior, National Park Service, at Yellowstone National Park. Scope: Mobile Asphalt Plant and materials to mix 3 bin PG58-28 asphalt mix. (Asphalt concrete aggregate, Oil/Anti- Strip, Mixing) Contractor will be responsible for Asphalt concrete aggregate, PG58-28 oils, anti-strip, labor and equipment to produce mix on site. NAICS Code - The proposed NAICS Code for this action is 324121 - Asphalt Paving Mixture and Block Manufacturing with a size standard of 500 employees. How to Respond This is a Sources Sought ONLY. The synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited; no basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result from a response to this Sources Sought or Government use of any information provided other then market research. The Government reserves the right to consider a small business, 8(a), or any other set aside arrangement as deemed appropriate based on the responses for this notice. The Government anticipates awarding a minimum of one (1) indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity firm-fixed price construction contract. However, the Government reserves the right to award more than one contract as it deems necessary. The total contract period, to include options, shall not exceed five (5) calendar years. Minimum task orders for 2,000 tons and a maximum of 6,000 tons per year. The Government anticipates conducting a competitive acquisition for this requirement. The amount of interest or lack thereof will determine the possibility of a competitive set-aside or full and open competition (the size of a small business firm includes all parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, etc.-see 13 CFR 121.108.) Misrepresentation of size status can result in penalties. Please refer to the current SBA rules regarding HUBZone firms, effective October 1, 2011. Analysis of the quantity and quality of responses to this sources sought announcement will be considered in the market research being conducted, and in the making of any small business set-aside determination for this requirement All relevant input is encouraged.
