R8 Wi-Fi Resistivity Meter: This is a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Order to Advanced Geosystems Inc. (AGI), Austin, TX. The requirement is for SuperString R8 Wi-Fi Resistivity IP/SP Meter for the US Geological Survey (USGS) Grand Canyon Monitoring Center, Flagstaff, AZ. To the knowledge of the USGS, AGI is the only source capable of meeting all the described requirements below. The AGI SuperString is the only known unit to operate flawlessly and in full congruency with other USGS owned AGI Resistivity meters. Software compatibility and consistency of data collection will not be affected. The unit will also be compatible with USGS owned ancillary pieces, such as electrode stakes and other support equipment. In addition the procured unit must match or exceed the following salient characteristics. Collected resistivity data must be an exact match to data collected by USGS owned AGI StingR1. Collects resistivity, induced polarization (IP), and self-potential (SP) data Data interfaces with EarthImager 2D software Minimum 8-Channel resistivity system Minimum 56 fully automated electrodes so no switching between electrodes required Wi-Fi enabled Weatherproof and field ready equipment Portable for the field Data stored in re-programmable flash memory Digital calibration Transmitter and receiver with 56 electrodes field ready resistivity meter The purpose of this notice is to satisfy the requirements of FAR Subpart 5.2. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all responsible parties may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. No solicitation will be issued. A determination not to compete this action based upon responses received is in the sole discretion of the Government. Responses are due no later than 07/19/2019 1300 EDT.
