Description 

JXA-8900 Microprobe Service Agreement. This is a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Order to JEOL USA, Inc, Peabody, MA. The requirement is for an ongoing maintenance service agreement for a US Geological Survey (USGS) Volcano Science Center, Menlo Park, CA, owned JXA-8900 Scanning Microprobe, SN 120007-08. To the knowledge of the USGS, JEOL USA is the only source capable of meeting all the described requirements below. The agreement shall include cleaning, adjusting, lubricating, inspecting and testing procedures to include all parts, materials, and components to keep the JXA-8900 Scanning Microprobe serviceable. The award will be for one base year with three option years. The purpose of this notice is to satisfy the requirements of FAR Subpart 5.2. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all responsible parties may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. No solicitation will be issued. A determination not to compete this action based upon responses received is in the sole discretion of the Government. Responses are due no later than 03/14/2019 1300 EDT. Response shall be submitted to Stewart Evans by email at sevans@usgs.gov. All responses shall be limited to 10 pages. No hard copies or submissions to FedConnect will be accepted.
