NAICS: 511210 Proposed Vendor: Synaptica LLC Synopsis: THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES: This is a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source purchase order under Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 13.106- 1(b). The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Acquisition Management in Washington, D.C. intends to award a Sole Source purchase order to Synaptica. It has been determined that Synaptica is uniquely qualified to satisfy the Government's requirements. The purpose of the procurement is to purchase an maintenance agreement for EPA's enterprise software tool(Synaptica KMS). Synaptica is commercially licensed software, and a maintenance agreement is needed in order for EPA to retain necessary vendor support for the product, including EPA's ability to host the most current version of the Synaptica KMS software. Synaptica KMS software is proprietary; it is developed and maintained by Synaptica, LLC. It is not developed or maintained by any other vendor or distributor. Similarly, software upgrades and maintenance made available through the software agreement we wish to purchase are available through no other vendor or distributor other than Synaptica, LLC. Notwithstanding, any firm who believes it is capable of meeting EPAs requirement as stated herein may submit a capability statement, by August 27st, 2018 at 12pm.
