Opportunity: Notice of Intent to Sole Source - Malvern Panalyt

Description 

In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 13.106-1(b)(1), the US Environmental Protection Agency intends to award a sole source fixed price Purchase Order. The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Research and Development (ORD), Center for Environmental Solutions and Emergency Response (CESER), has an annual requirement for a service maintenance agreement for a government owned Malvern PANalytical X-pert PRO MPD Diffractometer. The US Environmental Protection Agency (DPA) is requesting service to perform instrument support and repair services when notified by EPA of an instrument problem. The request includes Preventive Maintenance performed as needed with no less than once a year and maximum of two per year spare parts coverage (excludes consumables, tubes and x-ray detectors). Unlimited emergency calls, phone support during regular business hours, labor and travel during regular business hours. Remote diagnostics is required (where applicable) in order to allow for remote support. Attempts at remote support will be required upon placing a service call. If this condition is not met on site response may be affected. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) DO NOT SUBMIT A QUOTE A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement. NOTE: If you are an authorized distributor or equipment service/maintenance management provider; provide documentation confirming authorization and certified capability from the manufacturer to perform service/maintenance/repair on the components identified in this notice. Responses to this notice without this confirmation from the manufacturer will not be considered as valid.
