Description 

Installation of Storm Windows at St. Joseph Hall, Salem Maritime National Historic Site, 160 Derby Street, Salem, Massachusetts. Execute and complete Work of Project in accordance with all contract and project documents/drawings. Work of Project includes, but is not limited to: Temporary removal and on-site storage of window treatments (e.g. drapery, shades and blinds) and, only if necessary, associated mounting hardware; Removal and salvage of interior window stops and inspection of substrate, i.e., frames beneath, noting additions and/or alterations needed to re-seat loose and offset stops in conjunction with installation of new storm windows; Methodology and sequencing of work that retains and protects existing sash in place or, alternatively removes and replaces sash in conjunction and coordination with new work; Repair of split and/or damaged wood stops, including surface preparation and spot refinishing, as indicated or required; Measurement and documentation of existing window openings at interior side of fixed and operable sash, including clear dimensions of interior frames and trim and physical location and conditions of interior stops, fasteners and associated window hardware; Supply and installation of custom-fabricated, removable interior storm window assemblies secured to existing wood window stops, using extruded channels, angles and magnetic strips; Reinstallation of window treatments (e.g. drapery, shades and blinds) and, as applicable, associated mounting hardware, followed by verification that the window treatment assemblies are returned to pre-construction operating conditions.
