All responsible sources may submit an offer for consideration in accordance with these and other terms and conditions of the solicitation.* The subject Solicitation P17PS01567 consists of the following construction services to be performed at: Fredericksburg & Spotsylvania National Military Park (NMP), 120 Chatham Lane (Chatham Manor), Fredericksburg, VA The work of this contract consists of: Base Bid: a. Supply and installation of clay brick custom-manufactured in standard shapes and a range of shades to match existing historic masonry. b. Supply and installation of custom mortar mixes. c. Documentation and selective demolition and salvage of a corbeled brick Dovecote surmounted by an iron weathervane, followed by complete reconstruction of the Dovecote and reinstallation of the weathervane. d. Selective demolition and reconstruction of failed and severely deteriorated components of walls and copings. e. Removal of soot and biological growth at masonry wall surfaces, as indicated or required, using appropriate biocide and chemical cleaner(s). f. Repair, repointing, resetting and restoration of brick masonry building walls,chimneys, terrace walls and selected structural landscape features, including replacement of spalled and missing bricks. g. Repair and resetting of dressed stone components associated with brick masonry,Removal of embedded steel loops and staples originally installed to train ivy,followed by compatible mortar patches. i. Final cleaning and cleanup as needed for a proper and workmanlike masonry repair project. This project is set-aside 100% for Small Businesses. NAICS Code: 238140 Masonry Contractors (size standard $36.5M). Davis-Bacon Wage Rates for Spotsylvania County shall apply. The magnitude of this project is between $150,000.00 and $500,000.00. The National Park Service, Northeast Region (NER), South Major Acquisition Buying Office (MABO), intends to award a firm-fixed price, construction contract in response to this solicitation. The period of performance is detailed in the CLINs of the Solicitation to follow this pre-solicitation notice. Offerors must have a DUNS number, be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM) http://www.sam.gov, and have completed their Online Representations and Certifications in SAM, in order to be eligible for award.
