Description 

This is a Request for Quotations for general construction to re-roof three structures in Olympic National Park. Work includes removing existing cedar shingle or shake roofing and installing new roof coverings. The three buildings are: (1) Base Bid Item - - Park service owned residence at 71 Pyramid Place, commonly referred to as the STUMP WILLIAMS HOUSE, located off of the East Beach Road on the north side of Lake Crescent. Work includes removing cedar shakes and installing a new standing seam metal roof. The residence will be occupied by park service employees during the project. (2) Base Bid Item - - GRAVES CREEK RANGER STATION GARAGE located in the Quinault Valley off of the Graves Creek Road accessed via the South Shore Quinault Road. Work includes removing the existing cedar shakes and installing new cedar shakes. This building is not currently occupied. It serves as storage. (3) Bid Option - - ELWHA TRAILS WINCH HOUSE located in the Elwha Ranger Station Historic District. Work includes removing existing cedar shingles and installing new cedar shingles. This building serves as storage for the park trail crew. The park's trail crew may access the building occasionally while work is in progress. Refer to Section J of Attachment no. 3 for the complete list of attachments that includes the price schedule and all other terms, provisions, and clauses, scope of work, specifications, and Dept. of Labor Davis-Bacon Act wage decisions (construction wage rates). All work will be performed under a single contract. In the event that competitive quotes are not received for this solicitation, an offeror may be required to submit cost and pricing data or information other than cost and pricing data. This project is being solicited and will be awarded as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 19.502-2. The NAICS code is 238160, "Roofing Contractors" with an associated small business size standard of $15 million average annual gross receipts for the past three years. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 36.204, the magnitude of construction for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. This magnitude is set by law. Offerors are advised that the Government's estimated magnitude is between $50,000 and $75,000. HOW TO FIND THE ATTACHMENTS.
