Description 

Notice of Intent (Sole Source) The Bureau of Land Management, Utah State Office (BLM) announces its intention to negotiate and issue a sole source award for the purchase of laboratory equipment from CEM Corporation of Matthews, North Carolina BLM has a current requirement for a CEM MARS6, which offers parts that are 100% compatible with one existing CEM system currently in BLM inventory. No other vendor offers a system that offers interchangeable parts that will be 100% compatible with the existing system and can meet the minimum requirements of the Government. BLM intends to negotiate this requirement under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The sole source procurement will be awarded in accordance with simplified acquisition procedures. Interested persons may identify their interest and submit a capability statement demonstrating their abilities to meet this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responses received within 15 days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response must be in writing and can be sent via email to the Contract Specialist at jsneddon@blm.gov by 1:00pm Mountain Time August 31, 2017. No phone calls will be accepted.
