Opportunity: LIBRARY RENOVATIONS

Description 

The U. S. Geological Survey, Wetland and Aquatic Research Center (WARC) has requirement to repurpose/redesign of the library to meet space utilization goals. The current space for this project has been utilized as the center library. The existing library space within the WARC is currently undergoing a major consolidation resulting in an opportunity to relocate and recapture program space for WARC Branches. Based on a space utilization study, programming interviews, onsite observation, and direction from WARC leadership, the library space will be reconfigured to house a large proportion of same Branch personnel which are currently dispersed throughout the facility. Create a work space that matches today's workplace trends for workplace wellness, good indoor air quality, ergonomics, connectivity and circulation, accessibility, as well as access to daylight and views. The existing carpet will be pulled and new high traffic one square foot designed carpet installed (color TBD). Wall will be painted (color TBD). New communications data cables will be installed along west wall (conduits) and other data drops will be installed along North and East ceilings. Curtains will be installed to cover all glass window areas. The project shall be completed within 60 days after notice to proceed is issued. There are no option periods. The magnitude of construction is $100,000 to $150,000. Request for Quote (RFQ) G17PS00664 will be issued on or about 07/10/2017 with written quotes due on or about 07/24/2017. The awarded Contractor will be required to provide payment bond. All contractors submitting proposals will be required to provide a bid bond. A site visit will be held. The date, time, and contact info for the site visit will be in the forthcoming solicitation. CONTRACTORS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND THE SITE VISIT FOR MEASUREMENT AND LOCATION. This acquisition is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 236210. The size standard is 36.5 million. The anticipated award date of the contract is 07/31/2017. A vendor must be registered at https://www.sam.gov/index.html to be awarded the contract. All responsible sources may submit a bid or quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
