Solicitation Number 140P2118R0023: The solicitation for this requirement will be available on FedBizOpps and Fedconnect.net on or around July 31, 2018. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND TELEPHONE REQUESTS FOR THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Small Business Set-Aside: This acquisition is reserved as a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment and equipment mobilization, tools, supplies, transportation, incidentals, waste disposal of all debris and used materials to repair or demolish the old roofs, flashing, gutters, and downspouts, and repair miscellaneous structure damages. Make repairs to identified roofs and install new roofs on identified structures, along with repairs and/or replacements of flashing, gutters and downspouts on the structures as identified, and repair identified miscellaneous structure damages. Remove existing asphalt shingles and felt paper to expose the roof sheathing stripping roof to bare wood. Re-nail existing plywood or other boards where needed, and replace any damaged plywood, boards, or other damaged roof sheathing with ¾ inch plywood material. Apply two courses of ice and water shield up from the eaves of roof, around exhaust fans, skylights, pipes and other necessary areas, to prevent frost damage to all roofs. Install a good quality 30 lb. roofing felt paper to all roofs. Install Class 4 High Impact roofing shingles to all roofs. Materials should have a minimum of a A or B Fire Rating and carry a minimum of 30 years warranty (such as Owens Corning Duration Storm, GAF Impact Resistant Shingles, or Certain Teed Northgate SBS). Colors TBD. Install new 4 inch aluminum gutters and matching downspouts and all necessary hardware, color TBD on identified cabins. Nails or fasteners to be galvanized or painted aluminum. Install new 7 inch aluminum gutters, leader pipes, downspouts and all necessary hardware, color TBD on the Bushkill Maintenance (B&U) building. Nails or fasteners to be galvanized or painted aluminum. Remove damaged ceiling tiles and/or sheetrock in the interiors of the PEEC Dining Hall/Visitor Activity Center, PEEC Cabin #3, and the Shoemaker House, and replace and/or patch sections as close to the original materials as available. Materials to be pre-approved by COR prior to start of work. The NAICS code for this project is 238160. This procurement is subject to, among others, the provisions of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15, contracting by Negotiation. This is a pre-solicitation notice, and no response is due at this time. Proposals will be due approximately 30 days following issuance of the anticipated solicitation.
