Opportunity: BATTERY REPLACEMENT - GRAND COULEE DAM

Description 

The Bureau of Reclamation, Pacific Northwest Region, has a requirement for battery replacement in the Right Powerplant, Left Powerplant, and Pump Generating Plant of Grand Coulee Dam. Project includes replacement of the aging batteries of each power plant and ensuring the DC backup system for each plant meets the required load during an unplanned outage. The principal components of work include: assessment of existing battery rooms; providing new batteries, racks, containment, monitoring equipment, new battery configuration and installation; removing existing batteries, racks, battery monitors, old conductors and breakers/switches; removing concrete pedestals, finishing and painting floor; and testing and commissioning of equipment. The contract duration period is expected to be approximately 180 days. The worksite is located near the city of Coulee Dam, Washington and is in Grant County. This requirement will be a total small business set aside and issued as a negotiated request for proposals, and specific evaluation factors for the project will be included in the solicitation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 335911 and the small business size standard is 1,250 employees. Proposals will be accepted from all responsive and responsible small business concerns. Contractors shall note an electronic copy of the solicitation will be issued on or about February 26, 2018 on www.fbo.gov and www.fedconnect.net. The solicitation will close approximately 30 days after its issuance. Prospective offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to receiving award of any contract, see www.sam.gov.
