Opportunity: Painting and caulking of exterior buildings: Frede

The Department of the Interior, National Park Service (NPS), Fredericksburg National Military Park, VA intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ), 140P4218B0007 for the painting and caulking of interior and exterior trim of park buildings by means of a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Contract. The work includes providing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supplies, transportation and supervision for the cleaning and preparing surfaces, replacement of rotten wood, priming, caulking, and painting on the interior and exterior trim and doors on multiple park buildings. Many of these units are historical in nature and may have had lead paint on surfaces being prepared and painted, proper PPE will be utilized during the preparation and the encapsulation process. The unit locations are within the Fredericksburg Battlefield and Chancellorsville Battlefield per the specifications of the forthcoming solicitation. This project is being solicited as 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The solicitation, including all bid documents, are posted to the websites, http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed or issued. To receive the solicitation package you must download it from one of the above sites. It is therefore the contractor's responsibility to check the internet site daily for any posted changes to the solicitation. Contractors must be registered in SAM-System for Award Management-in order to receive contract awards. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 236220, Addition, alteration and renovation, commercial and institutional building. The magnitude for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000 and is subject to the Davis-Bacon Act. A Bid Guarantee will be required with your proposal. There will be a site visit scheduled and perspective bidders are encouraged to visit the site to satisfy themselves as to conditions before providing a proposal.
