Opportunity: NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE

Description

Notice of Intent to Sole Source contract and is not a request for competitive proposal. The statutory authority for this sole source procurement is FAR 6.301-1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements). The Bureau of Land Management, New Mexico State Office, through the Oklahoma Field Office intends to award a sole source fixed-price economic price adjustment purchase order to: Department of Corrections Kansas (Hutchison Correctional Facility (HCF)), 714 SW Jackson, 3rd Floor, Topeka, Kansas 66603. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 115210; the business size standard is $7.5. HCF is equipped to provide adequate pens, working facilities, and chutes to maintain, sort, veterinary care, train, and adopt WH&B's (minimum of 150 to a maximum of 400 WH&B's). The facilities are already in place and meet BLM's requirements. It would be too stressful on the animals that are located at HCF to be relocated as well as additional costs to acquire another facility. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposal and no solicitation document exits for the requirement.
