Opportunity: RADIOCARBON DATING SERVICE

Description 

The U.S. Geological Survey, National Water Quality Laboratory has a requirement for Carbon-14 (with C-13/C-12) Analytical Laboratory Services. The Government intends to award a single requirements type contract with a period of performance of the base year and four one-year options. The contractor shall provide Sample Analysis for Carbon-14 laboratory services, supplies and deliverables for analysis of environmental samples. The majority of the samples to be analyzed for USGS projects are aqueous samples collected mostly from ground water monitoring wells and surface-water sites. Some projects will require analysis of soil, bed-sediment, plant and various other types of materials. Some samples may be collected and submitted from areas of hydrofracking and/or oil exploration. Some samples may contain high solids and/or H2S. Samples containing elevated levels of radiocarbon and/or samples with radiocarbon, contamination from waste sites will NOT be submitted under this requirement.
