Opportunity: CUSTOM COMMERCIAL TRUCK BED TOPPERS - ASSEMBLY & I

The USGS Virginia Science Center, located in Richmond, VA intends to procure two deluxe commercial, custom-built truck bed caps. These will serve as mobile science laboratories and work stations, capable of transfer between vehicles in the future. It is expected that USGS staff will drive the two Chevy 2500 HD trucks to the contractor¿s facility for same-day installation. Thus, it is strongly preferred that the vendor be located within no more than a 3-hour drive from the Science Center, which is located at 1730 E Parham Road, Richmond, Virginia 23228. Requirements are specified in the Statement of Work Section B.3. Attachments 1 and 2 provide diagrams of the two units. As part of the quote package, vendors must provide schematic drawings of the highly customized design. Refer to Section E.3. for Instructions to Offerors for the Submission of Quotes. Quote submissions are due on or before 9/05/2018. Work is to be completed by the installation date of 1/07/2019. This is a fixed price contract. The award will be made to the offeror that provides the lowest price technically acceptable quote. Refer to Section E.5 for Evaluation Factors. The anticipated award date of the contract is by 9/21/2018. The acquisition is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 336390, and size standard 1000 employees.
